I'm not really new. I used to post on the old GSMB but then when the switch-over happened and I started college I kinda lost touch. Good thing I go to UF though!

I have a difficult time putting them in a particular order, because I love them all for different reasons.
I would have to agree with you though...Tom Hanks is a great number 1 actor. This may be a "cop out" but these are the rest of my actors...in no particular order: Al Pacino Johnny Depp Kevin Spacey Brad Pitt Jack Nicolson Mel Gibson (Alot of this vote comes from Braveheart) Leonardo DiCaprio Christopher Walken Robert DeNiro  That was not easy. I dont think you can honestly rank them. I think alot depends on their latest movies.
But here is my Top 10 in no particular order. I felt the same way about Leonardo...but Catch me if you can, and Gangs of New York were great. Matt Damon almost made my list, I like him alot too. Good Will Hunting was wonderful, as was the Talented Mr. Ripley, the Bourne Trilogy and The Good Shepard was good. We Ride! We Fight! We Love! |

I'm not really sure about mine either but I'm with Russ on Christopher Walken he rocks.
I wasn't a big Leonardo fan either until Departed and Blood Diamond. I thought he played that part to the T. Definately his best work imo. Most of the same actors from Russ's and SLG's list would be on my list but I'd have to add Mark Wahlberg. I wasn't a fan until recently but he's been on fire lately. Invincible, Shooter, and producer of Entourage. We Ride! We Fight! We Love! |

Any list that doesn't have Tom Hanks number 1, and atleast Johnny Depp, Anthony Hopkins,and Robin Williams on the list somewhere is unacceptable.
Tom Hanks is far and away, IMHO, the best actor of our time anyway. |

Russ, I like your list but to me you absolutely have to have Robert Duval on any "best actor" list. That being said, here is my list (in no particular order).
