Luc is visiting Tennessee this weekend with his parents, on their own dime, to meet with the coaches. Word on the street is if everything goes well, Luc could pull the trigger publicly for the Vols in the next week or so. He would also be an early enrollee.

It makes sense given the interest level that we know is there. I think the parents seal of approval is the final nail in the coffin. We will be ok, but tough miss for the gators if true.

Yeah, with the Charlie Strong rumors that are floating around I would bet we will miss on a few top guys we are after. I just hope guys like Powell, Hicks, and Floyd don't bail on us also.

Hope it's not true, but if it is we'll all just say he wasn't that good anyway LOL.

I don't see Bostic out there. Stamper took over when Spike is out. That let you know that Bostic is not a shoe-in.

Stamper has the experience that Bostic doesn't have.

Spikes and Stamper will be gone next year and our defense will be 'rebuilding'.

Stamper is playing great ball and he is the most versatile LB we have.

Next year you can look for Hicks, Jones at OLB and Bostic in the middle. The staff really likes Bostic. He will be a good one.

our backups will most likely be Dee Finley, Jelani Jenkins, Brandon Beal and Lorenzo Edwards

He told Higdon he wasn't going this weekend. Not sure Strong is going anywhere just yet either.

Hope you're right GCG. And thanks for stopping by. We don't get your insight around here enough.

Murphy - You don't think Jelani can hold off Hicks? Also, are the Beal transferring rumors dead?

I have much respect for GCG and what he says. I concur on the statement that I would not pack Strong's bags either...

On Luc, just because he says that to Bob Higdon, does not mean it is true. I hope I am dead wrong on this, but I heard that he was indeed going...

On Jelani Jenkins, he has been banged up all season and I think they may apply for a medical redshirt for him over his ankle. Hicks has been ahead of him most of the season and is seeing the field some. Nothing beats experience. Jenkins is YOUNG. You never really know, but my speculation is that Hicks will probably begin the season ahead of him and that Jelani might work past him as the season progresses. That is just my speculation, but I think Jelani has a way to go before he starts for this team.

Murphy - My bad. When you mentioned Hicks I thought you were referring to Jordan Hicks, and that he would come in next year and be ahead of Jelani on the depth chart.

I agree though, that Brandon Hicks would be ahead of Jelani next year.

What are these Charlie Strong "rumors"? I can tell you, from what I know, Charlie Strong is not likely to be leaving for a HC job any time soon. I think some people just like to get all worked up into a frenzy or perpetuate baseless rumors, and then it gains a life of its own and finds its way to becoming true on these message boards. Meanwhile back in reality-world, it has no life of its own.

I will really hate to see Mr. Strong leave Florida; but I do hope that if he wishes it, the time will come when he will get a HC position. I think that he does have the ability to be one heck of a HC!!

Just a view from one mile up!

Wish I had more to offer, but I'm not involved much anymore and I'm sooooo busy with work that I just don't have the time I used to for recruiting. I've got a few nuggets though that I'll try to spread around on some threads.

Luc stock has been droping lately. Were as he would be a huge pick-up for us but if wants to go to UT then let him go.

Gators would love to have him but with Bostic and Beal available next year it is not a monumentl loss if he does go elsewhere.

Myself after hopefully seeing the Gators win another NCG a lot of recruits will be re-thinking their options.
