First an article on him in GS, then he shows-up as the picture for the article on FNL. Looks like a guy we'd like to steer from Auburn. Lived in Gainesville for quite a while, mother a huge Gator fan. Any thoughts??

The coaching staff is not totally ruling him out, but there are guys who are in front of him who will be accepted earlier.

Among other things, he seemed real impressed with the fight at mid-field

Yeah, I hope he realizes that we don't do that any more...F$U sucks now...no reason to fight them.

He's got issues that will delay any offer from us.

If he gets his grades up and gets an offer, I believe he decommits from Auburn and comes here. I believe we may take 3 RBs this year.

I think it would be foolish for 2 running backs to commit this year much less 3. We lose Moore, but he's never been the answer anyway. Moody could have a ridiculous break-out season and go pro, but with the Staff's insistence that Moore get his and the back by committee thing, I don't see him leaving.

That leaves us Moody who has potentially 3 years left, Rainey has 4 and will use them all since the NFL doesn't like the smaller backs and he'll never get a high enough grade to come out early, and Mon who also has 3 years, who might go early after a big season since he may be wary of how long his knee holds out, yet still needs a big season to get there, which he won't have this year.

The big time backs seem to want to come in and start immediately or least by year 2, but we have Demps also coming in this year who will get touches, so where will we get the playing time for 3 backs or even 2? Unless we're selling snakeoil, we will continue to get the guys just below the elites who don't mind waiting a year or two for their chances.

The runningback position still is the only one continually working against us.

^You are o so right. Im just confused why anyone would want to come here right now at the running back position. We already have Gillislee commited and have a great chance to get Richardson. Plus, like you stated, Moody, Williams, Rainey and James will be here for the next couple years.

Yeah, whoops, left off James. My guess is he gets a lot more touches his senior year especially if you believe Percy will be gone.

The thing is, we can replace Percy with about four players. Put Jeff Demps, Brandon James, Andre Debose and Jheranie Boyd together and you get another Percy Harvin.

Oh yeah, definitely not saying we can't possibly replace his production, although it will be difficult, we just won't be doing it with any recruit we sign in this next class.

I actually think that Andre Debose could be the next Percy Harvin. If you havent seen his videotape, do it now!

i think its funny how not that long ago everyone was going nuts thinking we were so short-handed at running back - and now people see it as if were stacked. while we do have a lot of talent back there, i still would like to see us pick up at least one or more big backs - we never seem to have trouble finding the little speedsters.

I never thought we were shorthanded for what it's worth. There's only 2 backs I'd rather have in place of Harvin in all of CFB, Beanie Wells and Moreno. I guarantee you our rushing offense will be better than both OSU's and UGA's this year in both number of yards produced and average per carry.
