Just curious if there was anything going on with those two prospects?

Luc and family did NOT go to Tennessee... That is definitely good news for the Gators.

New Key was Dunkley's guide, wonder how that went? He lost it when Bryce Brown ran the wildcat.

Nah... Luc has not tripped their with the family. He is not committing anywhere without mom's approval. He seems to fall in love with whatever place he was at last. I think he will be in Gainesville for the FSU game (I will know more later but that is what is planned at this time).

Sounds like there is some disagreement about Luc...some say he is all Vol while others say he didn't even go there. That's a pretty big difference the two

noidea

the problem is the Vol propaganda machine churns out absurd rumors every day. it's baffling what they can convince themselves of. you can't discern any tidbits of truth from the river of Baghdad Bob-caliber garbage emanating from it.

As far as Dunkley and Luc go, Dunkley was likely just taking a free visit. He didn't join 12 of his teammates when Kiffin had a large Pahokee contingent up for a summer camp and obviously the Vol staff thought Dunk's visit went well enough that they immediately accepted the commitment from another WR Kenbrell Thompkins.

The Vol propaganda machine was pumping out rumors that Luc was on his way to Knoxville with his family to commit. Like most of their garbage it wasn't grounded in reality. We're in good position with Luc. We've got Charlie Strong, Miami has been off the table and FSU is in shambles.

Good point on FSU...Mickey Andrews stepping down today can't help. Plus, I'm sure there will be some friction between Bowden and Jimbo over who should be the next D-Coordinator.

Time is working against them with him likely being an EE. But there's always a possibility that they land a D coordinator and he and Luc hit it off. Amato is their LBs coach so it doesn't look like he has lost his prospective position coach. Still his relationship with Charlie Strong, who would also be his position coach, is great and I think ultimately makes the difference.

Another thing that could potentially work in our favor over Tennessee is entrenched players. It's been no secret UT lost their starting senior MLB early in the season but they just lost his junior replacement Savon Frazier so the battle for the new starting spot is going to be between two freshmen. That means Luc would be competing at Tennessee with at least two players who had starting experience at MLB and a prominent backup next season.

Since conference play started the Gators really have only played Spikes and Stamper at the position and they are both seniors. Beal's injury and Bostic not seeing much time at all at MLB leaves a greater void for Luc to potentially step into.

From what i understand, it is looking like Luc will be a Vol unless something changes. Now that could happen, but everything I am hearing an dunderstand says he is more then likely Knoxville bound.

I meant to add that they are down to their 3rd or 4th string MLB, and UT is pumping him with being Derrick Brooks, and the fact they lose some LB's this year he could come in and start right away.

MLB is the only linebacker position that Luc can play and they are only losing their short former walk on who started the first 4 games. The junior who started the last 4 games, the freshman who'll start the next 4 games and the freshman second stringer for the next 4 games will return.

Florida's got a better opportunity for him to make an instant impact at MLB as we lose an All-American in Spikes and his backup in Stamper. Beal hasn't played a down of football in two years and Edwards is an SLB who only sees the field on defense in blowouts. In what limited time Bostic has been used it's been mostly SLB and if Luc comes he'll likely stay at that position as both Stamper and Doe are graduating.

Go to UT where there are at least two MLBs with SEC starting experience ahead of you or go to Florida where the only true MLB hasn't play a game for the Gators in two years?

I live in East Tenn and the local sports show had a guy that covers Tenn. on and he said they feel very good about Luc coming to Tenn. That he (Luc) has givin them some good feed back. But they say that about everyone they covet. I guess we will all know on signing day. I just hope we are the last school he visits. I think they are playing the Strong wont be there card to him and some others.

Luc seems to love wherever he visited last. It looks like we have him for the F$U game, so we are looking good to be the last visit on his dance card. And AGAIN, UT will not be a serious option if he does not go back up there with his mom. So until that changes, I don't worry too much about Luc to UT.

I thought Chuck Amato was their DCIW?

(Defensive Coordinator in Waiting).

I wouldn't count Luc on going to Gainesville until after we know that Charlie Strong will return next year.

Luc is going to enroll early, he won't get the luxury of knowing whether or not Strong stays or goes, most likely.

Surprisingly, USCe is losing ground with Floyd and it is shaping up to be a OSU/UF battle for his services. This one will go down to NSD.
