IS it WORTH buying ESPN gameplan? Years past when the Gators aren't on TV we do the 1 game rental for $21.95.
I've heard wonderful things about NFL ticket just wondered if Gamplan was as good Is it broadcast in HD BOYCOTT ALL ADVERTISERS ON THIS BOARD. DO NOT CLICK ON THEIR LINKS OR VISIT THEIR WEBSITES |

Gameplan is only in HD if the original broadcast is in HD. For instance, if UF is not on TV it is broadcast live by Sun Sports, which as of last year was NOT in HD. Some of the ABC alternate games are in HD (big east, ACC games, etc), as are some of the ESPNU or ESPN plus games.
Is it worth it? Yes, if you are like me and watch football from 11 am to 1 am every Saturday. No if you just want to watch the Gators. UF should be on national TV every week except the Citadel, and maybe Vandy. |

what do you mean?
hawaii will not be on TV, Kentucky will not be on TV, the way it's going FSU might not be on TV either. Arky on TV? i doubt that. Ole miss? not really, cause they are not good. i too was thinking of getting gameday this year. i always had to pay $22 per game otherwise. |

FYI...Called my cable provider, Insight, and they have an early bird special for $99 for Sept-Nov. Regularly $130 but they are not taking orders yet. Or I can order for $14/game.

Hawaii is on TV, has been announced for a couple months or so. I disagree about the prediction for Arky, UK, Ole Miss and FSU not being televised. I would be surprised if any of them aren't shown live on Raycom or ESPN. Heck, if FSU has 8 wins or more it will probably be an ABC/CBS game. The only games that will only be available on PPV are Citadel and Vandy, although that game could still go to Raycom, as it almost always is. Speaking about Raycom...do any Cox customers know if they will be broadcasting the Raycom HD feed?? I know all the SEC and ACC football games on Raycom are now in HD, but I was wondering if it was still up to the providers as to whether or not they would provide access to it. |

I will probably do PPV on an as-needed basis. Our Raycom broadcasts on two channels here so they usually do 2 different SEC games. Guess I got it better than I thought |

With the FSU game being played in Tallacrappy, it would be on ABC, not CBS. UF Student Jan '93 - Dec '96, 45-6-1 (overall), 23-2 (home), 4 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship |

You are in the same boat as me, since I am in illinois. I said that UF will be on TV pretty much every week, because the games that aren't on CBS or ESPN usually get picked up by Raycom, which is easily accessible to those in the south. The citadel is the only game I don't expect them to pick up for us. |

I have a bar less than a block away that i go to for the raycom/ppv games. It is an OSU bar, but the folks are always nice and up for some friendly smack talk. Plus once the Suckeyes come on TV, they pull out an awesome free buffet. |

If you are outside of Florida and sign up for GamePlan - you will get the games whether they are PPV (in Florida) or RayCom or even a CBS/ESPN regional broadcast. I have done GamePlan for several years - not missed a single game since I can remember - well worth the cost as I am not spending more going to Gator Club bar and I can TiVo the game at home - still getting to do all those family activities - like coaching youth football on Saturday and still watch the game later.

that's what i was thinking...it would prevent me of going to a bar, which would EASILY be over the cost per game (22 per individual game) |
