Oh ye faithful of the reptile nation now flapping your arms gator style with glee at the fall of Tennessee I should remind you the Gators were demoted to the N.I.T. for the 2007-2008 season
N.I.T. - an acronym for National Inferior Teams What a joke Donovan and his boys were this year considering they stumbled and blundered their way into NC's the last two years. It will get worse before it gets better. Pearl and UT have arrived and have no intention of leaving their spot as king of the SEC Mountain. Next year Tennessee will be much better than their powerhouse team that finally lucked out against the Louisville Cardinals. Besides we the people of Memphis think of UM formally Memphis State as our B Ball team. We wish the Vols well and all that but they were never serious contenders to go the Final Four and winning the NCAA Tournament. Every where I go I hear the Memphis State fight song and all the local TV sports media are speaking of the old days of glory and superstars like Finch and Penny Hardaway. We are in the midst of a Memphis B Ball renaissance and the sky is the limit. If the King was still alive he would be hopping the Lisa Marie to jet into San Antonio for the crowning of the new Kings of Basketball, the Memphis Tigers. Cosmos is an alias, everybody knows that! Who in their right mind would root for either Memphis or UT?
He is right about one thing though; Memphis is the Mens BB and UT is the Womens BB, it's just hard to tell them apart because of all the inbreeding that goes on in that state. Notice that Memphis wears blue and UT wears bright colors, that was done to accentuate the gender differences. How else could they tell which one was their sister and which one was their brother. Come Friday night after they get all white lightninged up, they stop caring who's a boy and who's a girl and it becomes a free for all. Never go to Knoxville on a Friday night when it's a full moon, they get so liqoured up that even non relatives begin to look good to them. If you can't help but be there, bring a shotgun, a machete, tasergun and an industrial size can of mace or you might find yourself a victim of a grotesque assualt that will force you to commit Hari Kari in order to keep your family honor.  |
