This year, he has 153 passing attempts and 139 rushing attempts.
Not sure what to make of that...whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. |

It's what we've needed to do to win. I hope our passing game and other runners can continue as they did last week and take some pressure off of them.

Little bit of both.
Good: We are 8-0. Tebow is in contention for the Heisman and has our Gators in full swing for another SEC and Nat'l Title. Bad: He's not positioning himself any better as far as his draft staus goes(at the moment) and is obviously taking more hits running with the football. Bottom Line: A large number of his rushing attempts have not been designed so therefor he's been creating something out of nothing. As far as Tebow's concerned (and the the majority of gatornation) moving the chains is all that matters. I'm sure we'd all love to see him throw a 5TD/200+yds a game, but like always, the importance lies on the scoreboard. |

IMO, Tebow could care less about his draft status. The guy is a warrior whose mission is to conquer the enemy. If running the ball achieves the immediate goal, that's fine. When his college career is over, his next enemy will be the naysayers. |

I haven't studied the numbers from prior years but I would wager that he has less passing attempts and they are going to our running backs do to increased production resulting in increased production from the running game.

His childhood ambition was/is to play QB in the NFL...now why on earth wouldn't he want to improve his draft value? Um, he's only spent 2 years working on his throwing motion. Dedicated to UF right now, but definately multitasking dude. |

I honestly think that if he had known it was going to be like this, he wouldn't have come back.

I like to say stupid things and try to build up other programs as being better than the Gators just to try to be an ass. I do all these things because I am a jealous little punk who has entirely too much time on my hands. I can't admit that my team sux and that the team I hate has been the class of college football for the past 4 years. It eats my guts out so I have to play this stupid passive aggressive game in order to provide some type of salve to my sucking wounds. It's all about The U...always has been, always will be. |

He's a winner. He's doing what it takes to win.

If Jacory Harris had known he would never compete for a national title at Miami (which he probably should have), would he have still gone there? |

It's lower than it should be, based on previous years when he had more passes. That puts his pass:rush ratio at 1.1:1 this year. His prior years: 2008 - 298 passing attempts, 176 rushing attempts (1.7:1 pass:rush ratio) 2007 - 350 passing attempts, 210 rushing attempts (1.7:1 pash:rush ratio) He's definitely passing a lot less this year than in prior years. But we all knew that. |

It's important to keep in mind that defenses force many of the QB decisions in an option offense. They are well aware of Gator speed, and are becoming adept at taking away the pitch, forcing Tebow to keep and pound the ball.
It's become a "The devil you know versus the devil you don't" kind of thing. As for passing attempts, I would choose to run as often as possible if my team averaged over 200 yards per game. I'd win most of them, too. I haven't looked, but I wonder what the yards per pass attempt stat tells us. I would bet UF has more YPA than our opponents. That's usually a winning stat. |

Since you are an implant inside Tebow's head, what does he think about the image below? ![]() Go Gators! |

As if anyone here cares what an ass clown thinks... ![]() "I believe God gave me this athletic ability for a reason. In conference play, Florida - 7.7 ypa Arkansas - 7.6 ypa Georgia - 7.6 ypa Tennessee - 7.1 ypa LSU - 6.9 ypa S Carolina - 6.7 ypa Ole Miss - 6.3 ypa Auburn - 6.2 ypa Miss St. - 6.1 ypa Alabama - 6.0 ypa Kentucky - 4.8 ypa Vanerbilt - 3.9 While it is true that we are on top in this stat as well as in the conference, Bama is #10 on this stat and #2 in the conference. Georgia is nowhere near #3 in in the conference, but they are #3 in this stat. I don't think that you can draw many conclusions with this stat in isolation. |

...and on what facts derived from Tebow himself do you honestly base this opinion? Is this how they teach you in your fictitious law school to formulate opinions-- by using your personal bias as the whole foundation? Good grief but you are one severely pathetic troll..... Yeah, considering how long it's been since it's happened, I'm thinking that they don't like to go 8-0 in Miami. Or should I say, the 305 to add freshness? "What we have here is failure to communicate." |

One of the SEC records that Tebow broke in the Georgia game was the most rushing yards for a QB, held by Matt Jones of Arkansas. Very few QBs are ever going to have that many rushing attempts.
A lot of people forget that he also held the Florida HS record for passing TDs. He can run or throw and will do whatever it takes to win the game. It's a joy watching Tebow break so many significant records in his senior year. It's going to take a little retrospective to truly appreciate his incredible accomplishments. I always wonder how dense these people are or what they are watching when they say he's not an effective or accurate passer.
Among all active QB's, his career passer rating is number two in the NCAA at 170.14. Only Bradford is ahead of him. Kellen Moore is in 3rd place over 8 points behind. |
