Really looking forward to seeing this game. I am conflicted on who I would like to see win this one. On one hand LSU wins goes to the SEC champ and we sail. On the other hand it will help us to quiet the haters if we beat an undefeated BAMA. BAMA after a BYE at home will be a tough team to beat. If anything, LSU should be able to expose some of BAMA's flaws.

Hopefully a battle. I think I would like to see LSU pull it out in the last seconds of the game. Send Saban packing, again!

I am somewhat conflicted as to who I'd rather face in the SECCG. But in the end, I'll go with Bama.
1) Both teams have less than stellar play at QB. However, Bama has the better D (marginally) and a better running game (marginally). As an offset, LSU just seems to have the magic that goes their way in the close games, plus I never like re-matches. 2) I live in Dallas and there are WAY more loudmouth, "nothing else going for me but Tiger Football", LSU fans around here. Life will just be easier in the weeks leading up to the game not having to listen to all of them. 3) Credibility - beat the best to show your the best. In either case, with the right focus and preparation, we can beat either team. Our D will rise to the occasion, just like they did in Baton Rouge earlier this year. ************************************ "Don't think of it as work, the whole point is just to enjoy yourself." |

I want Bama undefeated when we play them in Atlanta...
I also want Texas, Iowa, Cincinnati, Boise St, and TCU undefeated. I want complete and total chaos come BCS time. I WANT A PLAYOFF. I want as many conferences and schools "screwed" out of a chance to play as possible. Throw Oregon in the mix too. Yeah, they lost to Boise St. early, but Oregon is playing lights-out football right now and are (I think) a legit top-5 team. Big10 Jim Delaney is going to be THE biggest hurdle to getting the playoff. What better than to have Iowa get screwed and have to play in the Rose Bowl a week before the real party? Think Big10 fans are going to go nuts over that? Damn right they are... The Big East is going to scream bloody murder too...let 'em all scream to the heavens...then we might actually get some movement. Also, if we have 5 or 6 undefeated teams, we quiet the talk of the stupid "plus one" because even that won't do the job. 8 team playoff everybody....8 team playoff. SEC would dominate that joker for years...

Technically, yes. But you get more street cred if you beat an undefeated 12-0 team, versus an 11-1 team you already beat on the road with a post-concussion QB playing conservatively. In the big picture, I guess it does not matter, because, either way - if we win we're in. ************************************ "Don't think of it as work, the whole point is just to enjoy yourself." |

If I may add a fourth reason to prefer an unbeaten Bama to a one-loss LSU: The revenge factor for LSU. I'm sure everyone here remembers who we played when we won our first National Championship, and what the result of our regular season game was against them? That, for me, made the victory all the sweeter, to be able to mash it in the |

It's great to be in the wings and waiting to see who we'll play for the SEC title. It really doesn't matter to me who wins this game.

Unless Bama can overcome their offensive woes of the past month, I think LSU wins this game. Bama has had several close games against inferior opponents and LSU seems to be improving.
I am going with LSU. ------------------------------------------ The Gator Sports Board .com - for Gator Sports news |

I would like to see LSU win 13-12 with a last second field goal.
Either way- I hope it is a good close game and nobody wins because one of those trademark bad calls that everyone keeps talking about! |

Bama wins in a low scoring game. From there, it's smooth sailing all the way to atlanta. Hopefully this time, with a different outcome.

If im looking for the easiest route to the BCS Championship game then LSU would be my choice. But im going to pull for Bama in this one...a #1 UF vs.. #2 Bama in the SEC Championship game will be unbelievable exposure and hype for both UF and the SEC. If people thought last years SEC Championship game received a lot of hype imagine what round 2 of this would be like with again the winner going on to play for it all.

One team is going to have to put on their "O face" (apologies to the real mastergator) if there is to be a winner. I think if LSU is to have a reasonable chance, their QB will have to be effective and a true dual threat. Otherwise, Ingram carries 30 times and the elephants win 13-6.

Ummm...but LSU already used the revenge factor this year against us...remember they were trying to get revenge for the beat down in The Swamp...didn't work the first time ______________________________ FREE TADEES, SWAMPY, TMB & SGG!!! ![]() The Dude abides |

I know Tulane isn't anything great, but LSU totally dominated an Auburn team that then went out and blew out Ole Miss who got crushed by Bama (despite the low score). OK, so transitivity doesn't work in football. But I just think LSU is playing better since we beat them and I think that they can beat Bama. The only thing I think Bama has going for them is home field advantage. "A life is not important, except in the impact it has on other lives" . . . Jackie Robinson |

LSU is a really dangerous team now they have their offense rolling...they have just as much talent on both sides of the ball as Bama.
Then again, they also have Les Miles coaching them. My guess is that Bama eeks out another one just like last year. |

Bama is gonna tear LSU a new a-hole. LSU MAY get 10 points if they're lucky. LSU is good against the pass but they're vulnerable against the run, which means Bama will run right through the teeth of that weak front 7. Their offense is not "rolling", they're beating inferior teams with talent. If they can't run Scott, they can't win. I can't see Scott running through Bama, so I see Bama whipping em pretty good. If LSU pulls it out, it'll be because of an enormous amount of lucky breaks (which Miles seems to get all the time). Then there is the most important factor in this game, coaching. Miles vs. Saban?

The CFO of my company is a Tiger...he tells me they re-tooled their offense for this game to reflect the Utah scheme...his concerns are on pass protection and a qb that can read the d for throws....big concern as they should have the receivers but the qb throwing in that scheme has got him worried. Defensively he doesn't think they can pass rush, but may be able to shut down ingrham Bur he is a 'glass half full' type of guy! __________________________ At least they were wearing their prison orange jumpsuits.... __________________________ |

I'm pulling for LSU because it will actually help Tebow in the Heisman race by down-playing the Ingram factor with a loss. (Probably)

Bama has tried to run Ingram over and over to win the games. They barely beat UT with this. LSU is going to do the same thing...force them to pass the ball.
I like LSU in this one. ------------------------------------------ The Gator Sports Board .com - for Gator Sports news |

Bammer....big.
I want Bammer unbeaten in Atlanta....I don't want anyone to claim UF 'backed' into the BCS title game by playing a one-loss LSU squad. |

Don't count LSU's defense out because of what happened in the UF game. MeElroy is no Tebow. LSU can totally commit to stopping the run, which they could not do with Florida because of our passing offense and playmakers. If they can put the game on McElroy's arm and his ability to throw to Julio they can win, even on the road.

Bama may .....have an advantage at QB
I worry about the DL of LSU, I think it will be the key I will go with Bama, even though my kids will give me a hard time at SECCG. The oldest hung up on me and my cousin last year it was funny. The youngest was tailgating and was pretty good about it |
