I had my first experience in The Swamp and it was great time except for our performance in the game. You guys were firing on all cylinders and the Tigers were, well, just sucking.
Some observations: 1. The Swamp Rocks- very loud, great college experience. Very similar to Tiger Stadium. 2. Gator fans were great for the most part. Had a couple of Douches behind us at the game, but they were dressed in Black and claimed to be Minnesota fans....total A-holes, but not really sure they were even Gator fans, maybe just anti-Tiger fans, or Gator fans to afraid to wear their colors in the LSU section. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly yet passionate the Gators fans were. I was expecting the worst from rumors I had heard. 3. Cops need to relax a little 4. Beautiful girls were everywhere 5. Your campus is beautiful Congratulations on the big win Gators......... if we can get our sheit together perhaps we'll meet again this year. |

Now you know why we're such passionate fans, even to the point of occasionally being assholes... I can't fathom why Golden Gophers would even care about this game; or why they'd want to attend. Cops? Relax a little? UPD has had a reputation as fascist since I went to UF in the '70's and GPD isn't much better. Their philosophy is to toss people out or arrest them, then let the judge sort out the issues. Gainesville, were it a guy, would definitely be a chick magnet. I've lived in Tallahassee for years where the ratio of women to men at halfassu was about 3-2 (the reverse of UF) and UF still has a larger percentage of great looking girls. Hope we don't have to meet again. My wife's from Louisiana and I need to keep peace in the house. Nor am I sure I'd want to put any money on another game. Besides, I want a crack at Bama... The last two years' freshman classes had more women than men for the first time ever...
Hogtown is really a pretty place...not unlike Athens or Oxford... WE all have fun at the games and get along great with visitors from the other teams. I've never had a problem except by some drunks that have no help anyway. Hanging around The Swamp before the game with the other team's fans is just lots of fun. Come back in 2 years for another kicking...  |

Glad you enjoyed your visit. We finally put a whole game together for the first time this year. LSU will be fine with time. We lived through it after our BCS title year too. Let your fellow LSU fans know we aren't the douchebags some sites make us out to be. Go beat Saban and come back in two year to visit us again.
