Check out Pat Dooley's SEC Power Ratings every Tuesday on Gatorsports.com and then come here and post your own. Use this thread to rank the teams from 1-12 (with or without comments) and then let the debates begin!

Here are Dooley's Week 2 rankings ...

1. Florida: Could have scored 100 points in opener
2. Alabama: The signature win so far in the SEC
3. LSU: Went on the road and came home with a win
4. Mississippi: Great fourth-quarter for Rebels
5. Tennessee: Now it gets interesting for Kiffie
6. Vanderbilt: 'Dores may have found some running backs
7. Kentucky: Off to a nice start under Rich Brooks
8. South Carolina: That offense won't win many games
9. Arkansas: Ryan Mallett had an impressive opener
10. Georgia: Really tough schedule early for Dogs
11. Mississippi State: OK, let's see what you got
12. Auburn: Likewise for Gene Chizik

LSU defense was not impressive.

I agree with Barlis for the most part about his ranking on the SEC. But, i believe that the rebs along with the dawgs absolutely suck this year. I mean how in the world can Georgia lose their opening game to the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Seriously, they are in the SEC they are supposed to be one of the toughest teams to beat in the nation and they just go completely spanked. Now onto the rebs, yeah they have Jevan Sneed who is a good Quarterback and all but how in the world can they lose to south Carolina. But that is all i havee for now. Peace.

They are Pat Dooley's weekly SEC Power Ratings, and yes, y'all would be wise to note the sarcasm of his comment on the Gators being lucky the Vols didn't try to win.

5. Auburn Surprise of 2009
6. Arkansas Mallet is the real deal
7. South Carolina QB Garcia playing well
8. Ole Miss Poor playcalling hampering team
9. Tennessee Total is less than sum of its parts
10. Miss State Excellent playcalling helping team
11. Kentucky Basketball only two months away
12. Vandy Showed a little offense yesterday, very little

1. UF - unbeaten
2. Alabama - first SEC road game for freshman QB coming up against a pissed UK...I'll buy into them 100% if they scorch UK.
3. LSU- a win at UGA silences the Head Corndog's critics....
4. Auburn- please ram the ball straight up Lame's anal cavity sideways..
5. UGA - if they don't beat LSU, Richt's seat gets much much hotter....
6. South Carolina- if Garcia keeps buying into Spurrier's system, look out
7. Ole Miss - still a good squad, could really have chip on shoulder mentality rest of season
8. Arkansas - Mallet a great talent, need to hold SEC banner high against Big 12 this week
9. Mississippi State- games in Starkville no longer automatic 'W', UF, Bammer, and Ole Miss had better pay attention...have nice chance to pop Houston's bubble and send overrated GT packing as well Saturday.
10. Kentucky- not as bad as indicated against UF, Bammer had better not overlook them this week, or USC the week after that.
11. UT- beating AU a must win for Lame and his mouth, a loss to AU along with LSU upsetting UGA could lead to a real embarrassment on 10/10.
12. Vandy- get pissed off Ole Miss in Nashville Saturday night..bless their hearts...

So that was funny. I can see the Vols losing the next three to start 0-5 in the SEC with lots of moral victories.

Bama is not impressive at all. They have three very good players on offense. Tight end, Julio, and Ingram. IF bama and Gators make it to Atlanta, the gators speed will overwhelm the Tide.

Bama is a good team, no doubt about that. However they have not played teams that could hang with them. KY put up 20 on them. I believe KY was very fortunate to score 7 on us.

We will find out as the season goes on. Gators need to turn their thought to the Hogs. Watched the game yesterday and they can score. I am hoping the team does not get to carried away with Homecoming this week and keeps their ears flattened back and come after these guys.

I can see the possibility of the running game going over 350 yards and the passing to put up 200 + yards against Arky.

No really good arguments against any of thease placements. I think Ole Miss is better than they have shown and may end uo at #4 or #5, but they have yet to prove it.

1. Alabama: Simply played better than anyone so far this year.
2. Florida: Offense is not explosive, Defense is best in America.
T3. Auburn: Third best body of work in the conference with good wins over WVU and at Tennessee.
T3. LSU: Young quarterback belies struggles on offense. Defense is pretty solid, except for third and Chavis.
5. Tennessee: Getting stronger by the week.
6. South Carolina: About to enter a pronouced losing streak.
T7. Georgia: Getting worse by the week. No QB and no ground game puts too much pressure on defense and AJ Green.
T7. Arkansas: Horrible defense, but looked great against weary Auburn.
9. Ole Miss: Bust city. Nice defense, but Cromptonesque (pre-Georgia) performance so far from Sneed.
10. Mississippi State: Should have beaten LSU, team on the rise.
11. Kentucky: Bad.
12. Vanderbilt: Horrific
