+1 This is only a story because it's a Gator player. As soon as the season's over (they will play that clip before, during or after every remaining Gators game) Spikes will get taken in the first round of the NFL draft and will either make or break his career based on what he does on the field.

I'd love to see video again of Tebow and the tackle at the end of the Third quarter that had him washing out his eyes.

Also, both times Spikes' helmet "came off" with the chin strap still attached, because the second time he had to actually come out of the game.

Tebow may have been poked, which happens in the sport. I was a lineman, I know.What Spikes did was an entirely different animal. He blatantly tried to harm someone, and got off easy.


Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don't quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don't quit until you reach it. Never quit.

I have no problem with Spikes sending a message to other teams. The message is stop with the BS in trying to intimidate us. Spikes could have been more discreet but, it appeared to me he was teaching a young player a lesson. What the Oklahoma players did last year was beyond obvious in their attempt to injure Harvin and Tebow. Besides he's getting more street cred as an enforcer.
