The fat former BYU player said that what spikes did was worse than what Blount did earlier in the year. His reasoning was that Blount just got caught up in the in the moment, while spikes was not caught in the moment, and his actions were well thought out. I am not saying one his worse than the other but the analyst's reasoning is ridiculous

I though he played for Notre Dame. I guess the fact that the Oregon player went nuts and tried to fight everyone in the building afterwards was ok then?

The best part of his reasoning was that what Spikes did was an assault (as if what Blount did was not), and that he thought Blount should have been reinstated by now while Spikes should be suspended for the rest of the season to protect the players on the teams we have left to play. _________________________________ |

These guys get paid to sit on their can and say nothing. The amount of BS coming from the ESPN set on most days is ridiculous. Now I just listen to football games with the mute button pressed. However, I must admit that I do enjoy hearing Mushburger on for comedic relief. Every game to that guy is the biggest of the century.
I'm hoping that they throw Barry Switzer in the booth one of these days, I can only image the stuff he'd say. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks for all the memories Percy, you'll be missed!!! |

So I guess if Tony Stewart wrecks Jeff Gordon to win the race on Sunday, he should be charged with a hit and run?

Yeah I saw that too, he's going with the 'premeditated angle' on this whole thing. I guess he doesn't watch a lot of baseball. Pitchers getting revenge on opposing teams batters has been going for over a century. What's worse, a 95 mph fast ball thrown at a man's head, or Mr. Pokemon evening the score. |

Or what about the guy who slid into Chase Utley in the Dodger series with his spikes up at Utley's knee? Nobody said a word about that. He tore a chunk out of Utley's pants right at his knee. A few inches over he could have ruined Utley's career. But it's all good unless it's the Gators.

I have no clue why he is even on the show - he brings nothing to the show. I would rather listen to Cane Thug than him.

He also just said Florida would be left out of the national title if you look at UF, Bama, and Texas.
The reasoning was that we'll lose to Bama because "both are struggling on offense and when you're struggling on offense what helps is a big booming running game. Florida has a pretty good running game with their smaller guys but Alabama has that big Ingram" Whatever you say dude. |

So he say's Spikes actions were premeditated but when Tebow got plastered away from and after the play it was just part of the action. That's just stupid. Both did something dumb. Both should have gotten 15-yard penalties.
For those that say "it goes on all the time," fine, but just don't get caught. They both got caught. |

That guy is an IDIOT...and it even seemed like his cohort on the halftime show tonite thought so.
First of all he didn't even know that UF is already in the SECCG. He said we would probably be the opponent for Bama (who of course is NOT in the game yet.) And that rushing thing was a laugh. Yeah...Bama has a bruising rusher and we have....uh...TEBOW you jackarse. And the comments he made about Spikes were just imbecilic. Seriously, how do these people keep their jobs, I hope he doesn't get paid very well. ![]() |
