I'm now shifting gears and trying to decide how long "Harvin's Pole rider" aka ryan.joseph is going to flap his gums about percy. it's one thing to rant and rave for an ENTIRE SEASON about one subject matter, but will this goober continue his ranting next year? One can only hope that as the years go by and the gators are able to seperate themselves from harvin a bit, that maybe, just maybe ryan can get over his continual temper tantrums. one can only hope. pray

Liti: All over Percy because I acknowledge him as the best ever? Interesting. Most of the Gator Nation has been sniffing Timmy's crotch and d-riding him ever since he stepped on the field. Carving trees out of him, posting his promise on a plaque, putting him in the ring of honor before he leaves, and constantly calling him the GOAT is serious D-RIDING dude. It's funny that you mentioned that Tebow's stats are "ongoing", because since Harvin left, he isn't NEARLY as impressive. Last time I checked, everyone is talking about Tebow REGRESSING, while Percy is well, being himself. He hit the NFL like a raging bull putting up impressive numbers, and the season is only half-way through! Ask the teams that passed on PH1 if they're not sick to their stomachs! You need to just have a seat and give credit where it is due. Harvin is the best Gator ever, period. If you don't like it, then keep trying to convince yourself otherwise. I was the best or one of the best player on EVERY team I EVER played on, so no need for me to d-ride. You on the other hand, probably couldn't catch a cold so you have motive to be one!

hater: You're right, it can't be proven. However, it also can't be proven that New England wouldn't have gone undefeated without Moss. It can't be proven that Barry Sanders would've broken Payton's record had he not retired early. It can't be proven that we would've beaten UT had we played them earlier in the 2002 season. What's understood doesn't have to be explained!

Are you really going to perpetually pick out a player each year to tout as being totally superior to what we have the next year? Will you be pulling the same Chicken Little routine about Brantley v. Tebow next year? MOVE ON! I really don't even see the POINT of your argument.
What are you saying? Harvin was important to our team? Harvin was amazing? Percy might have been a once in a generation type player? Percy might be the son of Zeus? Percy could very well go supernova and explode because his raw talent is superior to that of any human's and the planet can not sustain supporting it? You're right! He was amazing! No doubt Percy made life very easy, and you got to lower your dose of meds because we sailed to victories. 2008 was a very good year to be a manic depressive Florida Gator fan because it was ALL high (few lows). But here we are ryan.joseph, in a whole new situation. What's next for you? You going to up the meds to compensate for the lack of spark and the close games? Is your mental fortitude such that you can’t handle being a Florida Gator fan when the W’s come hard? Or are you quietly sitting on your toilet (eerrrrr as you might call it “the shrine” room) stroking a picture of Andre Debose and chanting to your magic monkey statue?
PS – I’d bet that Percy would never actually want to “meet” you. You sound like all the makings of a restraining order.

Very well said! We all loved Percy and he will always be a great Gator. But he isn't in college anymore and I still gotta love me some Gators! RJ's obssessing over being "to thin at being thin" is nauseating. I would rather read YorkSidThang than ryan.joseph.

ryan.joseph maybe it's that you don't understand the goal in collegiate football. The goal is to bring home the Waterford Crystal. It's great to have all the highlights of Percy on the ESPN highlight film, but in the end, nobody except you is reliving Percy at UF on the daily. You know what? I'm not going to wanna relive Tebow next year either.

Percy was amazing as a Gator! Tebow is amazing as a Gator! Both have game. I don't care if Tebow regresses to throwing the ball underhand between his legs if he keeps putting up W's.

Last year we had OVERWHELMING fire power, but who really has that every year? It's over and now we're down to the business of being the best team on the field each Saturday. So grab the medication that evens out your nerves, and calms your mood. We need you lucid and not living in 2008. Percy is wearing purple, but there a bunch of guys that are going to put on the Orange and Blue and do us proud. They may not have the explosiveness, but they have all the heart and that's why we sit glued each Saturday. Your self-loathing thoughts of our team are shrouding your view. You're just going to have to grow a spine and sit tough through each Saturday's lack of explosiveness like the rest of us.

Percy may have gotten us 20 (luxury), but Tebow has always gotten us the ONE when we needed it.

I'm a real Gator fan because I'd take my team in it's present form (now or in the future) over any thoughts of what we use to be. I'll never lament that because any one play is gone, we're just not the same. We're the same every time we take the field, because the end product will be a hard fought Gator game!

I love Percy and am in awe of what he did.

About Tebow being in the Ring of Honor...he kinda isn't...they have his number up with Danny and Steve as Heisman winners, but that's a little bit different than the Ring of Honor. Youngblood didn't win a Heisman, Marshall didn't win a Heisman, Emmit didn't win a Heisman.

A player or coach has to leave UF for 5 years until they are considered for the Ring of Honor. So you're a little off there, buddy.
