LSU at baton rouge 03. My brother and friends drove to that one. We were listening to the lsu pregame show. The Tiger fans were predicting scores like 60-0,50-3 you get the idea. They scored first on a punt return, our guys over ran the short punt. Well our seats were right next to an lsu section, and they were in our face. I was exchanging some verbal jawing with them. One a..hole in particular was actually in our section doing some kinda hook-em horns thing.I asked him if he was in the right stadium bc that is a texas thing. My brother told me to cool it BR jail isn't a great to be, me being 51 at the time he said some young gator and a couple of scores would shut them up. Hehad it write some young buck with a tebow type build got in his face and never let go for the rest of the game. Once we had the lead, the crowd was really shell shocked. Our D played great in that game,Chowder was an animal, I don't think they got past our 45 yard line in the second half

2004 UF-FSU. We broke a streak that had hung over us for a while. It also started a streak of our own over the crimiNole and really began the slide of FSU into a sunbelt team as well as introduce UF back into the national spotlight with the coming of Urban Meyer.
Wow, that was a long sentence!! ![]() |

Was going to say '04 fsu also...I'd put '97 fsu at the top, just because I was there and it was maybe the best game ever in the Swamp...also tanked their MNC hopes for the 2nd year in a row But '04 was awesome. I was in NY on business and had to get scores txted to me until halftime. Watched the rest of the game at the ESPN club in TS, with a bunch of Gators...great night and great way to end an otherwise awful year. |

'97 FSU game. The Seminoles were a force that year and we were having a down year (at least by comparison with the '93-'96 run). LSU had upset the Gators in Baton Rouge, Georgia took us behind the woodshed, and the offense was struggling. Of course everybody knows what went on that game so I won't get into the details.

Florida's win over USC in 1982. Not even close.
But, since that one is already mentioned, I'll give another.... 1985 at Auburn, 14-10. Florida stuffed Bo Jackson and held him to 41 yards. He took himself out of the game and the Gators came from behind and won on the Kerwin Bell to Ray McDonald (yes, his dad) fade route. Yes, I was there. Florida became #1 in the country (for one week) after that. |

I can't believe nobody's mentioned USCe in '06. First of all, the "best" game needs to be during a season where we won it all, b/c those are the games that mattered the most. Second, Steve "Traitor" Spurrier had just claimed superiority over the school itself by beating us the year before--we NEEDED that game for revenge, and to show that no jack-ss is better than the school. Third, you can't get more drama than blocking the FG that would decide the game one way or another as time expires. I remember jumping up and down for a good 5 minutes after that happened, and then afterwards with my fiancee...WHEW, I will DEFINITELY never forget THAT night!

has to be a championship year? you have to lay the foundation before you build the structure. spurrier had several key wins viable for this thread where we didn't win the national championship. |

Perfect job! Couldn't have put it better! Runner-ups? 1997 FSU (for reasons listed) and 1995 FSU (our first (and sadly ONLY thusfar) 11-0 mark in a season). |

'91 FSU was huge. Broke a 4 game skid verses the Noles and SOS first win against them. The loudest game ever from kickoff until the last play. Also '86 Auburn was great and '97 FSU (both had super loud roar moments that shook the stadium). Tennessee shutout in '94 at their place was awesome. Best part is I was fortunate enough to attend these games and see the looks on surprised faces.

I've only ever heard! Personally I'm an FSU 1997 win, been to many games before and since, but no regular season game compares to this one. Just listen to mick on 2 plays... The Great pass to Green. And the interception!! |

Id have to go with 97 fsu. Coming off disappointing losses to lsu and uga and fsu being #1 and ruining their chances for another title. What an emotional rollercoaster of a game and the way it finished was insane
Gatorev12: "The Big Eleven is kinda like you're older cousin who was the **** in hs, but never amounted to anything and is working at a grocery store and trying to "stay with it." Relevant at one point in his life, but now is past it, knows it, and desperately tries to either prop himself up or amount to something. For another suitable analogy, think of the uncle from Napoleon Dynamite" |

I have to agree with the 97 game. That was just an incredible game to be at. Some that make the honorable mention list (that I attended): 02 at UT 04 at FSU 02 in Jax 03 in Jax 01 in Baton Rouge 00 at UT Games that I watched but didn't attent: 96 and 06 at UT |

mmbt199er, Please remind me, what was great about lsu in BR 01. It was a fairly easy win.
I do remember the fans were acting like the dog that just got kicked. To our group seemed like a done deal after a few series. |
