Everybody wants to make this out as if he chewed-off the dude's ear. And, of course, Herbie joins right in with the Meyer bashing.

This has been one of my biggest points. I've poked myself in the eye much worse! LOL There is NO WAY Spikes had any chance of doing eye damage with what he was doing. He may have caused him to lose a contact lense, but that's it.

And by the way... Desmond Howard might be one of the dumbest people in the entire world! At least bottom 1%. Not to mention he takes any chance he can to be negative toward the Gators.

Husband elbowed my eye in his sleep one night. How I didn't get a black eye, I'll never know. Not a gouge, but dang did it hurt!

(I gave him an arm punch in return for his trouble.)

Allen Ray got his eye gouged out. Literally. That was disgusting. And it happened live, with replays, and was done by an opposing player. Sure, it was accidental but do people really think Spikes went in there to get a hand full of eye ball?

I think all these "analyst" from all the networks are given their talking points and they don't have an original thought in their heads. There is no way all these ex-football players don't understand what happens in a football pile. Even Ealey said Spikes shouldn't be punished.
