I and many other members of the Gator Nation agree that Spikes should be suspended. The Vanderbilt game would be the perfect penalty.

And many members of the Gator Nation (like me) think he should not be suspended. Give Spikes the benefit of the doubt, that it was just some of the wiggling and pushing in the pile and his hand accidently slipped into the face mask. And no damage was done to the UGA player. There was no flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. No harm, no foul.

But if he is to be suspended, then let it be just for the Vandy game. It would give Spikes a chance to make sure his groin heels properly.

Remember, apparently an UGA player may have done the same thing to Tebow. He was seen on the sidelines washing his eye out with water, and the commentators said he may have had his eye gouged. But Tebow did not whine about it, had no damave over it, and no one is calling for UGA suspensions over that.

Are you kidding? I haven't used bad language and simply stated an opinion that you don't agree with. Sorry, pal. Time to take of the Orange and Blue glasses.

Nope, you didn't, but I'm about to you ignorant ******* *****...

If you had taken your lazy ass through the 4 or 5 other threads on this topic already, you'd see that most of the people on this board are already in favor of Spikes being punished for this.

so yeah, you are a flaming ******* troll...I backed your stupid ass in your prediction of the Bama/Tennessee game when most of the other members of this board were calling you insane... there's no need to troll on this board looking for attention...

You are a piece of **** alias...

GRBman is not in the mood to put up with morons today...I have to put up with them at work...not here... go the **** away ! !

Calm down, and stop referring to yourself in the third. You guys need to chill out. I can't believe that you get your panties all up in a bunch so easily. You've got a national championship worthy team. Relax. Inhale. Exhale. It's going to be okay.

Hell, one or more of you parents probably even had a hand in the production of Bleeds. You stupid hillbillies are all related in some way or another. Guess you are another one that only has a single trunk in your family tree!

This type of behavior is similar to what Albert Haynesworth did in 2006 when he stomped an opponents face. The only difference is Haynesworth succeeded in injuring his opponent. Haynesworth received a 5 game suspension from the NFL. I expected Spikes to receive a greater suspension than what he got for attempting to gouge someone's eyes out.

For the people saying this happens all the time, I really question your judgement. Florida is not being singled out. If it happened all the time there would be alot more incidents publicized. I don't feel like looking for the last eye gouging incident in college football, but if it happened all the time I'd like to see 5 examples in the past, eh, 10 years or so. I think that is fair. When you find 5 examples get back to me and maybe i'll believe this stuff happens ALL THE TIME

Do you understand the difference between possibly poking someone in the eye and actually gouging their eyes out?

Dramatic much (and not just you, so don't take it personally)? Do you really think football players are attempting to dislodge or scoop out eyeballs...which is what "gouging" means? I'm not condoning sticking your finger in someone's eye and I realize it could cause permanent damage, but I highly doubt players are attempting to extract each others' eyes.

snack

All this thread lacks is somebody flinching and getting punched in the shoulder! Bleeds and Alvin have already set a grocery sack full of dog poop on fire and run off in the bushes to watch us stomp it out. What Stone Jr's part in all this is, we'll never know, since he's kind of like the tag-along kid with the speech impediment that you really can't understand.

You never get this type of attention and entertainment when you're average. I hope they keep bringing it until sometime in January!

oh sorry, i didnt know you had intel on his intentions. glad you cleared it up. no suspension should be warranted. brandon probably just watched too much three stooges growing up. the difference between poking someones eye and gouging is one is just a fun loving practical joke, and the other is a malicious intent to scoop someones eye out of its socket. i knew brandon was just trying to make friends

As someone posted elsewhere...can't remember where anymore...feel free to offer up all the evidence of football players removing each others' eyes. To a man, everyone who has played football says this type of thing happens all the time, and yet I don't recall ever hearing about anyone losing an eye. Not saying it's sportsmanlike, but damn...get over it.
