I stuck around despite the obvious. This is what Lava, Guilf, KC, DC et al were posting last November:

bananaparty

My turn:

bananaparty

bananaparty

My biggest goal is to bring the governing back to the center. That message was sent tonight by the voters who showed up during the summer at the townhalls and who will be in DC on Thursday at noon. Great job, America! We may survive if we return control back to the center.

How is this bringing it back "to the center"? Republicans are no better - they deficit spend, they pass bloated entitlement programs and threaten our civil liberties. Where's "the center" in that?

Throw 'em all out?

I agree with the assesment of the Pubs. They loose their manhoods whenever they win. Something about trying to please everyone. The Pubs need to grow a big pair and run on conservative values in government.

That is, stick to what the government is supposed to be about, Defense and infanstructure of the country and leave the social gerrymandering out of government.

No government of the Federal sort need to be involved with state affairs. That is social issues that local states should decide and some federal mandate for some minority issues on a national scale.

They're all being thrown out. As far as one being just as bad as the other, there's some truth to that. That said, $550B deficit is not the same as $1.4T.

You either have the wool over your eyes or are just plain ignorant. You can't honestly tell me it would be any different with McCain in the White House, could you?

He was just as much for a stimulus package as Obama was.

He voted against it and for good reason, he knew it wouldn't work in creating the needed private sector (tax payers vs. tax receivers) jobs. We now know the stated goal of the $787B package of keeping unemployment below 8% was a total failure. Next report due out Friday. Hold your breath. If we exceed 10%, '10 will be devastating to the incumbents, most of whom are dems, including those in control of both houses for the last three years during our financial free fall.
