Amazing how if another country drills, it is ok. Does not pollute. But we can't. Can anybody explain it to me? This should be front page news on every newspaper in the USA



This is a perfect example why I refrain from watching the news on
--- ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN or MSNBC - You didn't see a word of this on any of those networks. They report only what they want you to know...
On 20 August 2009, on a segment of the Glen Beck Show ... was the following:
"Today even though President Obama is against offshore drilling for oil for
this country. He signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion or more of our
taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company (which is the 8th
largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil.
The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of
China and not the USA .
The Chinese government is under contract to purchase all the oil that
this oil field will produce, which is hundreds of millions of barrels of oil".
We have absolutely no gain from this transaction whatsoever.
Wait, it gets more interesting:
Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian
Oil Company, and who would benefit most from this ---???
It is American Billionaire, George Soros, the Liberal businessman who is
a radical left wing supporter, finances "MoveOn.org" as well as other
liberal programs, and was President Obama's largest and most generous
supporter during his campaign.
If you are able to connect the dots and follow the money, you are probably
as upset as I am.
Not a word of this transaction was on any of the other news networks.
Forward this factual e-mail to others who care about this country, so they
may see where it is going.
Does anyone think this was the type of change Obama meant ---???
Or, maybe it was.

I say that I used to think Glenn Beck was a paranoid fruit cake. Now...I am not so sure that he isnt on to something.

This topic was discussed here and was on the news channels and other media outlets I read. Granted, I don't watch CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, CNN et al very much.

I suggest you support your local NPR station as this was discussed in length at the time.

Also, please remember this is a global economy and this is not the only source of oil.

Further, the technology that will be gained from this endeavor has applications outside the Brazil field.

If you knew anything at all about Petrobras, you would know that they are potentially sitting on one of the largest oil fields in this hemisphere. However, they are desperate for cash. Therefore, they are asking (see begging) foriegn investment in return for oil. China will receive 200,000 barrels per day, a fraction of what the field will ultimately produce.

Shocking!! The oil is not for the "sole" purpose of China. The oil is in fact for the "sole" purpose of making money for the government of Brazil....uh oh, did Glenn mislead you again??

Finally,the idiotic statement Soros. Beck is once again partially correct. Soros, as of his latest SEC filing on 9-30-09 owns 5.8 Million PREFERRED shares (not voting). He sold out of his common share position in mid August after he came out and said he believed the world economy is headed for a double dip. So, Beck almost go this one 1/2 right, the Soros HEDGE FUND (not Soros' personal wealth) was at one pont the largest MINORITY owner, but since has sold out. Did I say minority? Oh year, technically, the government of Brazil is the LARGEST shareholder of Petrobras owning 55% of the common shares and looking to increase ownership to ~ 70%.

Now granted, that actually took me about 20 minutes to look all of that up, but MY GOD, take off the tinfoil hats, stop listening to ******** like Glen Beck, SHamity and Limp-paw. The ARE NOT NEWS PEOPLE, they are entertainers and right wing LIARS.

Oh yeay, obviously someone reported on this story....AND reported it with greater accuracy then Michelle Malkin or Glenn Beck....

You still didn't answer my question about about why HE I cant say USA due to the fact that I dont beleive that this is a United States anymore it's the 1 nation under Barack is financing 10 billion to this scam. Its ok to give money to Brazil to drill but not Alaska or more in Gulf?
You can say all you want about Soros but due to this going public he pulls out his shares and comes up with a lame excuse to do so. I guess that Stimulus plan isnt working after all is it?If Soros is selling his shares. Nice insider trading going on there.

At the moment we are Red China's whipping boy. As long as we have administrations that kow tow to the Red Chinese Communist leadership we are going to be their sucker.

The last two Democractic presidents have had a huge influx of Red Chinese Communist money attached to it. We have beed sold out by Clinton in regards to missle technology (Loral Space Industries) and Red China's shale coal fields in Malaysia. The other shale oil coal field is in Utah and was declared a National Park by Clinton. President Obama has illegal money trails from the Communist also. They have been rewarded by our looking to them for approval of economic plans.

In other words. we have been screwed by the pooch twice now and both times a Democract was in charge of the screwing. Only time will tell of the danger that greed and power has wrought against the United States of America.

Maybe Ncargat1 can now tackle the czar problem and tell us where Beck has lied about them? So far he has been pretty accurate and is really the only one bringing it to the forefront. I remember a time when 60 minutes would have been all over this sort of stuff...not anymore. If Rove had stated in a speech that one of his favorite political philosophers was Mao do you think that would have gotten any attention?

Can you define the "Czar problem"? Because no other president has ever had advisers before, right? Regardless, define the issue and maybe I can discuss it.

As for Beck, I do not listen to his show, but fairly confident that if he said it, it is a half truth, misrepresentation, or flat out lie. He is a ratings hack, just like everyone else.
